Boats are brought onto the shore to protect them from harsh weather conditions, such as strong winds and waves, which could cause damage if they were left in the water.

Bringing the boats onto the beach allows fishermen and boat owners to perform necessary maintenance and repairs without being hindered by the water. They can more easily inspect the hull, outriggers, and other components for any damage or wear.
